Vesicular Stomatitis Update Spring Horse Trials
In consultation USEF, CDFA and our veterinarian team regarding the recent Vesicular Stomatitis outbreak, we will be following extra protocols to keep your horses safe during the Event. We appreciate everyone helping to keep our horses in a safe environment.
We are also restricting entries from those coming from Riverside and San Diego counties and our friends from those counties will not be in attendance of the Spring Horse Trials.
VSV Requirements for Entry to Grounds:
VSV Declaration: You must declare that you have not been exposed to VSV.
Exam Upon Arrival: Temperatures and Oral check of your horse will be performed upon arrival. Be prepared to take your horse's temperature and wait for arrival staff to check your horse.
Arrivals will be restricted only:
Wednesday 3:30-6:00
Thursday 8:00-6:00
If you are arriving after these hours, you have contact info@grayareaevents.com to make special arrangements.
Temperature Checks/Log: Temperatures must be taken twice daily, 3 days before travel. Each stall will have a temperature log that will need to be completed twice a day. Any horse with a temperature of 101.5 F or higher should be immediately reported to the show office and will be quarantined away from other horses. Any horse’s temperature not recorded, rider will be given one warning and then asked to leave the property.
