Our Mission
The Horse Park at Woodside is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to the land, people and animals we serve.
Vision
Inspire generations to safeguard nature, embrace the joys of learning and celebrate the wonders of the horse.
Mission
Unite community in shared purpose and connection for land conservation, equestrian sport, lifelong learning and fun.
We hold tremendous gratitude for the staff, volunteers, donors, organizers, instructors, and advisors who are the lifeblood of the Park and enable us to advance our mission across all areas of activity. Thank you for sharing your time, talents and gifts. If you would like to learn more about how to participate, please contact us or explore our volunteer opportunities.
HORSE SPORT AND EQUESTRIAN EDUCATION
The Park is an equestrian’s dream, a place of beauty and solace nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley. Education has been central to Park activities since the beginning. Built as a membership organization to host competition, clinics and training activities, we serve a variety of disciplines and all skill levels. As part of our mission, we offer discounted memberships to USPC youth (<18 years), USEA Young Rider Advancement Program and USEF Young Rider Program.
LAND STEWARDSHIP
While started for the love of horses, honoring our land is one of the Park’s top priorities. We are keenly focused on preserving native habitat for local flora and fauna and highlighting our spectacular natural setting and sweeping vistas. Here we celebrate the fog rolling gracefully over the hills. We commune with herons, rabbits and critters of all sorts, welcoming our full-time residents and seasonal visitors both.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The Park provides respite from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area, a soulful place to walk and reflect. Our membership is a community of equestrians of all stripes, nature enthusiasts and local residents. The Park welcomes non-members for public events, educational clinics and competitions. We also serve as a San Mateo County-designated equine evacuation center, hosting regional refugees during natural disasters such as fire.
